IFP/Seattle announces the 2010 Spotlight Award Applications

Deadline for script submission is August 31, 2010

IFP/Seattle is pleased to announce that scripts are being accepted for the 8th annual IFP/Seattle Spotlight Awards. Applications can be found on the IFP/Seattle Spotlight Award page.

A unique program, the IFP/Seattle Spotlight Award grants one filmmaker with in-kind goods and services to produce a short film on 35mm or 16mm.

IFP/Seattle is committed to fostering a strong base of Northwest filmmakers with education, programs and grants that fuel the careers of local talent. Through the Spotlight Award, talented local filmmakers can showcase their work and prove themselves for feature filmmaking. Past winners of the Spotlight Award have won numerous awards for their films. Previous winners have included:

John Helde - ‘Hello’
Dan Brown - ‘Pierre’
Cheryl Slean - ‘Diggers’
Mathew Clark – ‘Dry Rain’
Robert Parks – ‘Night Blind’
Tim Watkins’ film ‘Photo Booth’ is currently in post-production.

Sponsors of the award include Alpha Cine, Modern Digital, Oppenheimer Cine Rental, Clatter & Din, Seattle Grip and Lighting, Lance Rosen, and Kodak film.
